Hunting big game has been going for over thousands of years and people always voice their opinions. Below are five controversial photos that have landed people in hot water:
1. Kendall Jones
This 19-year old hunter from Texas has a facebook account filled with countless pictures of "big game" animals she claims as "trophies." I wrote about Jones almost two weeks ago, as she lit an outrage on Facebook from the pro-animal community by posting pictures she has hunted and killed in Africa. Since my post, TMZ reported that Facebook had to take down a page called "Kill Kendall Jones" which featured pictures of big game animals holding Jones as a trophy.
2. Steven Spielberg
Jay Branscomb decided to mock Kendall Jones by posting photos of Steven Spielberg with "fake trophies" on facebook. He wrote the following caption for the picture above: "Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man." The facebook page now has over 33,895 shares with comments that range from pure anger to idiocy. People, please note the caption of the picture where it says, "posing next to a Triceratops."
3. Axelle Despiegelaere
Axelle Despiegelaere can kiss her 15 minutes of fame and fortune goodbye. The blonde 17-year-old was photographed on June 22nd when Belgium was playing Russia. Her photos instantly went viral and were spotted by cosmetic company, L’Oréal. Three weeks later she was L’Oréal's newest model, only to be fired after photos surfaced of her killing a big game animal.
4. Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
Eric and Donald Trump Jr. left a lot of angry people asking their father questions after a hunting spree in Zimbabwe last year. TMZ reported that the brothers managed to shoot a variety of animals, including an elephant, crocodile, kudu, civet cat and water buck.
"If the young Trumps are looking for a thrill, perhaps they should consider skydiving, bungee jumping, or even following in their anti-hunting father's footsteps and taking down competing businesses—not wild animals," PETA said in a statement to E! News.
5. King Joffrey
Yes, this I'm using the 'Game of Thrones' card. King Joffrey has started more controversy than any other real or fake person I know. When Joffrey's brother Tyrion thought that hiring a prostitute was a good birthday present, he was surely in for a surprise. He did not yet realize just how dark and twisted his nephew was. Instead of letting engaging in sexual activity, Joffrey made the two women beat each other mercilessly while he stared at them holding his crossbow. Joffrey tortured Ros for a little bit longer, and shot her to death with his crossbow.
